Royal Base Corporation has set a standard for sustainable agriculture in the operation of it cut flower business. We are presently participating in or have already received various certifications. These certifications recognize businesses operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. We have demonstrated our commitment in producing less waste, conservation of energy and natural resources, reducing usage of hazardous materials, and social responsibilities.
Royal Base Corporation will be the first flower grower in Vietnam to receive MPS-ABC and MPS-GAP (Good Agriculture Practice) certifications in 2009. We are also participating in ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative) and Sedex (the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange).
MPS
MPS offers products and services which relate to the environment, quality assurance and social aspects, at a national and international level. This allows horticultural companies to profile themselves as socially responsible firms to their customers, the government and society.
Ethical Trading Initiative
Companies with a commitment to ethical trade adopt a code of labor practice that they expect all their suppliers to work towards. Such codes address issues like wages, hours of work, health and safety and the right to join free trade unions.
Sedex
Sedex enables member companies to manage efficiently the ethical and responsible practices of their global supply chains, generating transparency through the provision of a secure, robust, and user-friendly data exchange. Sedex focuses on four pillars: Labor Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Integrity. As a growing membership organization, Sedex is a flexible platform, open to expansion in line with market development and evolving member needs.
