Apollo, established in 2003, is specialized in Phalaenopsis and Lisianthus young plants and flask plants contracted propagation. Located in Dalat, Vietnam, total base area of Apollo is approximately 55 hectares. At an elevation of 1,000 meters highland, the cool temperature and high sunlight intensity for Phalaenopsis flower production.
At present, we have a total of 14,256 m2 for Phalaenopsis young plants production. . A brand new constructed greenhouse has started operation for Phalaenopsis Cut flower production in June, 2009. Another two new greenhouse constructions will take place in 2010 and 2011. At the mean time, we are expanding our tissue culture labotory and acclimation room and also greenhouse for Lisianthus production.
New Phalaenopsis Greenhouse is integrated with Dutch technology to create a precise environmental control. With sophisticated computer control system, it can accurately adjust the environmental factors inside the greenhouse. The greenhouse is also equipped with dripping irrigation system, moveable container system, and other automatic systems to ensure the good plant growing and flowering quality. In order to produce virus free plants and cut flowers, we use ELISA and RT-PCR virus detection to select healthy and virus free plants and strict virus-free cultivation operating model in the greenhouse. With automatic greenhouse system and standard production procedures, we can guarantee high quality and virus free plants. Benefiting from local climate, we can reduce significant energy consumption and become more cost effective. Apollo has recently passed the MPS Certification demonstrating our commitment to sustainable agricultural practice and high social responsibility.
In 2008, Apollo has begun Lisianthus young plant production. We cooperate directly with Japan professional seed company for the latest varieties and the technical support. With local natural climate, we are able to supply high quality Lisianthus young plants. Our young plants cultivation expertise has received recognition from Japanese seed companies. Our target markets are Japan and Southeast Asia countries.
